As the Administrative Support Coordinator II in the School of Public Health, you will play a crucial role in the general administrative operation of the school, acting as a lead to administrative staff and student workers. Department Summary The School of Public Health (SPH) is one of five schools in the College of Health and Human Services. The SPH offers an undergraduate degree in public health, several graduate programs leading to the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, Master of Science degrees, and joint MPH/Master of Social Work and MPH/Master of Arts in Latin American studies, as well as Joint Doctoral programs with the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) leading to doctoral degrees in Epidemiology, Health Behavior, and Global Health. The school is also home to an independent Doctor of Public Health (DrPH) degree program. The SPH is also home to four research and public health practice institutes and centers, and three labs. Education and Experience Entry to this classification requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. Additionally, incumbents are expected to have a thorough knowledge of English grammar, spelling, and punctuation and be able to clearly communicate orally and in writing. Some positions may require a knowledge of business mathematics beyond basic arithmetic. The ability to use and quickly learn new office support technology systems and software packages is also a prerequisite. These qualifications would normally be obtained through a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with several years of related office work experience. |

Compensation and Benefits Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $4,520 per month. Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources. CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,058 - $6,653 per month. |
