Position Summary

Join our team as a Graduate Enrollment Analyst and play a key role in supporting the university’s graduate enrollment goals through efficient processes and innovative solutions!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Management: Maintain and support the graduate department application in Slate, ensuring seamless operation.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Graduate Admissions, the College of Graduate Studies, and campus departments to streamline workflows and processes.
  • Data Analysis: Conduct research and statistical analysis to inform decisions and meet enrollment objectives.
  • Policy Expertise: Interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulations to optimize program effectiveness.
  • Problem Solving: Investigate issues with broad administrative impact, propose solutions, and lead implementation efforts.
  • Leadership & Training: Provide guidance and training to colleagues, fostering a collaborative and efficient environment.

Position Information

  • This is a full-time (1.0 time-base), benefits eligible, permanent/probationary position.
  • This position is designated as exempt under FLSA and is not eligible for overtime compensation.
  • Standard SDSU work hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but may vary based on operational needs.  
  • This position is approved for partial telecommuting with onsite work in San Diego.

Department Summary

Enrollment Services is comprised of Undergraduate and Graduate Admissions, Office of the Registrar, Office of Evaluations, Prospective Student Services, Out-of-State, Specialized and International Recruitment, Class Schedule, and Communications. Enrollment Services implements SDSU enrollment management policies and provides services to students from their initial point of interest in SDSU to their graduation.

Education and Experience

Entry to this classification requires general knowledge and skills in the applicable administrative and/or program field with a foundational knowledge of public administration principles, practices, and methods. This foundation would normally be obtained through a bachelor's degree and/or equivalent training and administrative work experience involving study, analysis, and/or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of administrative policies, procedures, practices, or programs.

Key Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as Slate or similar platforms, with a focus on technical and functional aspects.
  • Familiarity with database management systems, such as PeopleSoft or comparable tools.
  • Skill in working collaboratively with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions is preferred.
  • Ability to assess software and identify opportunities for improvement to better meet user and organizational needs is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Starting salary upon appointment is not expected to exceed $5,000 per month. 

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

CSU Classification Salary Range: $4,598 - $8,318 per month.
