Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Associate Dean of Student Success and Academic Affairs and working with the Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs and Research, provide administrative support to the college in the coordination of the curriculum and articulation processes; serve as contact for student academic issues; provide support to various college faculty committees; coordinate, summarize, and distribute college-wide faculty and student data metrics; and coordinate college events related to faculty research and professional development activities. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee academic, curricular, enrollment, program accreditation, and student success related matters.
  • Provide administrative support to the Associate Dean of Student Success & Academic Affairs and the Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs and Research.
  • Serve as the CHHS Data Coordinator - Provide the college with general college-wide data, such as graduation rates, enrollment numbers, and student success markers as requested.
  • Classroom and Resource Scheduling, Key Custodian - Oversee classroom scheduling from a holistic perspective, settling scheduling conflicts within the college.
  • CHHS Scholarship Program Oversight & Scholarship Liaison - Administers new and existing scholarship portfolios for CHHS, including criteria, rubrics, and enter into Beach Scholarships system.
  • Serve as the faculty governance coordinator for the college. Serve as secretary for the meetings of the Educational Policy Committee (EPC), Graduate Advisors Council (GAC), and Faculty Council.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Familiar with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel. Knowledge of PeopleSoft, CSLink, Tableau/BeachData, EAB.

Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community.  Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures.  Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student, and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

Education and Experience

Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and two years of related experience required.

Physical Summary

  • Sedentary work - Involves mainly sitting. Walking and standing are minimal. Lifting is limited to lightweight objects. (10 pounds or less).

Compensation

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $3,879 - $5,800 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.

CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $3,879 - $7,488 per month.

Time Base

1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.

Duration of Appointment
