
Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Senior Associate AD, Development, the Assistant AD, Development is responsible for the development, planning and coordination of annual giving support. This position will execute a comprehensive athletics annual giving program by utilizing strategic planning to grow the Beach Athletic Fund. Working closely with the Director of Annual Giving, Athletics staff and coaches, the incumbent will engage with a broad range of constituents including alumni, parents and friends to build a supportive community of donors with the intention of meeting/exceeding annual philanthropic, engagement and participation goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Development Operations: Identify, cultivate, and solicit annual gift support by developing and maintaining relationships with corporations, foundations, individuals, including alumni, faculty, staff, local and regional businesses, athletics booster organizations, and other key personnel.
- Donor prospect, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. Manage a portfolio of annual giving donors.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement all activities for various revenue-generating events, meetings, and hospitality.
- Collaborate with Athletic Administrators, Coaches and URD staff in the implementation of the overall strategy for Athletics and the University.
- Serve as leader on all aspects of Beach Athletic Fund operations. Participate in extended senior staff and external relations efforts.

Education and Experience
- Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of related experience required.
- Prior NCAA Division I collegiate or professional athletics preferred.
Physical Summary
Light work - Job involves some lifting of medium weight objects (10-20 pounds) and/or 10% - 20% of the job involves standing or walking.

Compensation
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $5,537- $10,014 per month.

Time Base
1.0 time-base, 40 hours per week.
Duration of Appointment
