    • Position Summary
    • Temporary hourly-intermittent work study student assistant position for Mail Services in the MSR building. 

    • Start Date
    • Position available on or after January 28, 2025 and ending on or before May 30, 2025. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Assist with sorting, pick-up and delivering mail and incoming parcels
      • Assist with processing mail on electronic metered postage mail machine
      • Assist with data entry for billing into Mail Services Database
      • Assist with bulk mail, presorting mail
      • Assist with running folding/inserting machine
      • Assist with running tabbing/addressing machine
      • Assist at Customer Service Counter selling postage, processing personal packages
      • Assist with processing UPS Overnight, 2nd day and ground packages
      • Assist with processing department quotes for presorting, inserting, folding
      • Assist with pick up, storage and retrieval of Record Boxes
      • Assist with Print Shop as needed
      • Other duties as assigned

    • Qualifications













    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Demonstrates good customer service skills and verbal communication.
      • Demonstrates the capability to work in a fast paced environment.
      • Demonstrates the ability to multi-task.
      • Demonstrates basic computer skills on both PC and Mac.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Possesses a valid California Driver’s License.
      • Required to lift up to 50lbs.
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Must have received and accepted Financial Aid award for the current semester/year in which you are applying.
