Web Developer II in Chico
Under general supervision of the Library Dean, with work direction from the Business Systems Analyst, the Web Developer III works closely with library faculty and staff to create, implement, and oversee the library website, and support other library content management systems. This position is a key part of the Library Systems Unit, and manages the library website, including content, updates, application of best practices, integration with other library content management systems, and implementation of new features. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with current ADA Title II digital accessibility requirements and incorporating user experience design principles and best practices, including responsive web design. Working closely with the Business Systems Analyst, Accessibility Technologist, Head of Special Collections, Institutional Repository Librarian, Archivist, the Head of ACME (Acquisitions, Collection Management, and Assessment), Electronic Resources Librarian, Communications Specialist, and other library staff, the web developer provides technical support for web-based platforms and ensures functionality for data input and output. Additionally, this position supports CSU-wide library initiatives to implement systemwide platforms and provides recommendations for Meriam Library software development. This position builds and maintains collegial relationships with the CSU Chancellor’s Office by working closely with the Systemwide Digital Library Services and the Unified Library Management System units to promote effective systemness, and the campus’s Division of IT, library administration, faculty, and staff to advance technology initiatives within Meriam Library.

*** INTERNAL APPLICANTS ONLY*** Under the general direction of the Associate Director of the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), the EOP First-Year Experience (FYE) Coordinator independently performs complex professional student services work requiring independent judgment, comprehensive student advisement, program planning, and coordination that supports the academic achievement, persistence, and graduation of historically low-income, first-generation, and educationally disadvantaged students. The incumbent serves as the lead advisor for first-time freshmen, coordinates the EOP First-Year Experience and Summer Bridge programs, provides holistic advising and case management, supervises paraprofessional student staff, and collaborates with campus partners to develop innovative, equity-minded programs that promote student success. The position utilizes assessment, student success data, and best practices to continuously improve programming and student outcomes while advancing the mission of California State University, Chico and the Educational Opportunity Program.
