| Under general supervision, the Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, sanitary, and orderly living and working environment within the Housing Villages. Custodians perform a full range of custodial services, including cleaning and disinfecting residential and common areas, maintaining floors and furnishings, collecting waste and recyclables, and replenishing restroom supplies. The position provides routine custodial support for campus operations by responding to cleaning emergencies, setting up and breaking down for special events, making minor adjustments to equipment and furniture, reporting facility maintenance needs, and safeguarding assigned buildings. The incumbent operates custodial equipment and tools, maintains cleaning supplies and materials, and may transport equipment using university vehicles or electric carts to support the efficient operation of Housing facilities. |
