Job Summary

Reporting to the Senior Director of CRM Operations, this position is responsible for supporting the data conversion, integration and integrity of the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System for University Development and Alumni Engagement. Primary activities include analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, documenting, and maintaining application and reporting systems, troubleshooting and debugging of application problems. The incumbent works in collaboration with other areas across campus to ensure that the business rules created for the new CRM will work in collaboration with other business functions across campus. This individual will perform analysis that provides data driven insights into Cal Poly’s donor patterns, trends, and other metrics, and will support future enhancement of the CRM platform for University Development and Alumni Engagement.

Department Summary

The role of the University Development and Alumni Engagement (UDAE) Division is to foster strong relationships with internal and external partners to enhance support for Cal Poly. University Development and Alumni Engagement establishes and implements an overall advancement program, including coordinating fundraising, donor relations, gift processing, trust and endowment management, training and systems support for the donor database, and Cal Poly Foundation support and administration.  

Key Qualifications

  • Serves as data configuration lead for the Customer Relations Management (CRM) system and how it integrates with different software and areas across campus.

  • Coordinates the application and control site and the integration with CRM. Works with other UDAE team members and ITS on updates/fixes as well as testing and implementing the application within the CRM to ensure updates are made appropriately.

  • Researches, resolves, and responds to functional and technical issues identified by end-users regarding data within the CRM.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for up to two years of the required education on a year-for-year basis. 

Salary and Benefits

Anticipated Hiring Range: $85,000 - $110,000 Per year

Classification Range: $61,896 - $152,760 Per Year

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Classification Range may be broader than what the University anticipates paying for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
