Job Overview

Under the direction of the Director of Software Development and Solutions and working closely with the Lead of Systems Development and fellow team members, the incumbent will design, implement, and maintain software applications and systems to support the operations of the campus community. This role includes custom development, utilization of open-source software and configuration and development to extend the functionality of Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms such as mobile frameworks and Microsoft Dynamics CRM.

Technical duties include designing, coding, testing, installing, and upgrading of application system software; patches and fixes; process monitoring and tuning system performance; establishing user access controls; defining and implementing new/modified database tables; and device planning and configuration. Incumbent also will perform and participate in code reviews and provide appropriate written documentation of project development and programming code.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position, which will lead toward permanent status following the successful completion of a probationary period.

Pay, Benefits, and Work Schedule

Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,787 - $6,264 per month (Step 1 - 5)

CSU Classification Salary Range: $5,787 - $8,430 per month

Salary is commensurate with the background and experience of the individual selected.

This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement (CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15 paid holidays are offered each year; 14 scheduled on specific days and a Personal Holiday that may be taken any time during the year.

This position is required to work in person on campus.
