PLEASE NOTE: The starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience and is anticipated to be in the range of $5,158.00 per month to $8,944.00 per month.

About the Position

This position is a technical and functional resource responsible for designing, implementing, administering, and supporting application software and other solutions to support faculty, staff, and the University’s student success initiatives. Under the direction of ITS Director, the incumbent will be responsible for new solutions design and development, analyzing and understanding the campus data and technology needs, maintaining the data integrity and implementing system enhancements.
This position is focused on supporting the Salesforce ecosystem, including but not limited to CRM, Marketing Cloud, etc.
Responsibilities
Product Development and Support
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and support assigned products.
- Architect solutions by aligning complex requirements to IT products and solutions.
- Upgrade to the latest release of the products.
- Stay up to date on product features and functionalities.
- Implement best practices for CRM and product management.
- Facilitate workshops to gather requirements and promote process improvement.
- Automate processes where feasible and reduce technical debt.
- Work in a cross-functional environment with various groups and end users to identify, document, and implement solutions to support various projects and initiatives.
- Adhere to Accessibility Section 508 Compliance standards in all technical work.
CRM and Marketing Cloud Administration
- Configure, administer, and support the platform, including upgrades.
- Perform data management, audience segmentation, and targeting responsibilities.
- Develop marketing campaigns using different channels (i.e. email, SMS, social media) and execute them in collaboration with business stakeholders.
- Perform integration and automation responsibilities.
- Troubleshoot and support.
- Manage workflows.
Collaboration and Consultation
- Consult with various stakeholders to understand their technological needs and help solve business problems and achieve desired outcomes.
- Partner with faculty and staff to identify academic technology opportunities and determine the overall functional and technical requirements and specifications. These opportunities include but are not limited to process and workflow issues and new software/system requirements.
- Research/gather data to develop insightful conclusions and generate solutions to address end user needs, including but not limited to prototypes and/or proof of concepts.
- Promote the features and functionalities of CRM and other products within the ecosystem to drive adoption, utilization, and increase value.
- Structure and author documentation with clear focus and content.
- Write functional requirements into technical specifications and estimate work efforts.
- Provide applicable documentation as part of software development life cycle (SDLC) and other end user documentation, such as quick steps, knowledge articles, video tutorials, and more.
- Prepare and deliver information and ideas through verbal communication (meetings and presentations).
- Provide end user training.
- Collaborate with solution vendors and external consultants to deliver new solutions to the campus systems as needed.
Other
- Design, develop and implement infrastructure changes that integrate key data from campus applications into the overall architecture using Application Program interfaces (APIs) and best practices.
- Deliver reports, dashboards and other BI and reporting analytics, including but not limited to performance analysis.
- Keep current on new technologies and solutions in higher education and evaluate third party software and systems and support new initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Educational Technology, Communicatiors, or related fieleds, or similar certified coursework in applicable fields of study.
- Working knowledge of common software application packages, equipment platforms, reference database systems and sources, and training methods.
- Basic understanding of networks, data communication, and multimedia systems.

- Master’s degree
- One or more Salesforce or Marketing Cloud certifications.
- Salesforce CRM, Digital Marketing, or Communications experience of more than 2 years.
- Demonstrated experience aligning complex requirements to Salesforce products and solutions.
- Experience in integrating data and applications.
- Excellent documentation skills (i.e. technical & functional).
- Experience with modern marketing tools and principles.
- Experience in working for Higher Education or nonprofit.
- Experience creating reports and dashboards using different tools (i.e. Salesforce, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.).
- Ease and comfort learning and working with new technology.
