    • Position Summary
    • Temporary hourly-intermittent student assistant position available in Student Leadership Engagement and Belonging.

    • Start Date
    • Position available on or after September 15, 2025 and ending on or before May 31, 2026. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.

    • Job Description/Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Assist with SLEB and MSI outreach activities on campus at both the Turlock and Stockton Campus (tabling pop ups, short informational in class presentations, and Warrior Wednesday Tabling) 
      • Assist with welcoming group tours that are coordinated through the Recruitment & Outreach office and provide information on MSI.
      • Work closely with the Program Coordinator- Male Success initiative in the implementation of programming for the 4 pillars of success- Mentoring, Achievement, Leadership Development, Empowerment to create a strong sense of belonging for traditionally marginalized men of color and self-identified males on campus. -Attend MSI meetings and trainings as required.
      • Support the Male Success Initiative (MSI) Team by recommending creative and innovative student-centered ideas and solutions to establish participation and increase engagement amongst peers. 
      • Assist the Male Success Initiative and Black Student Success coordinators in the research and relationship building with other similar programs at other institutions to keep up with trends and needs. 
      • Assist with the promotion and marketing of MSI, BSS and SLEB sponsored events via social media, website, and on campus. 
      • Assist with creating flyers and handouts promoting Student Leadership, Engagement and Belonging, Black Student Success and Male Success Initiative activities. 
      • Perform general clerical support, to include, but not limited to, word processing, filing, email correspondence, copy-making, and data entry.
      • Assist program coordinator with data collecting, data analyzing of program needs and outcomes.
      • Other duties as assigned.

       

    • Qualifications
    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Demonstrate sensitivity and respect towards diverse populations & Identities.
      • Ability to work a few mandatory evenings and Saturdays throughout the year.
      • Knowledge of Microsoft office, Windows, Internet, general functions of e-mail

      Required Qualifications:
      • Must be able to have transportation to and from the Stockton campus and Turlock campus.
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Fall/Spring units.
      • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Fall/Spring units.
    • Salary Range
    • $16.50 per hour.
