Located along the U.S.-Mexico border, SDSU serves one of the most culturally, ethnically, and linguistically diverse regions in the nation. The university is committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable academic community and seeks candidates whose research and community engagement contribute to improving health outcomes and reducing health disparities. The position is open to candidates across disciplines, with departmental home determined by the candidate's area of expertise. We are particularly interested in dissemination and implementation scientists with a strong record of externally funded research, including support from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and a focus on health disparities research. In addition to serving as a faculty member, the candidate will serve as a core member and contributor to the SDSU HealthLINK Center for Transdisciplinary Health Research (SDSU HealthLINK Center). As a National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities funded U54 Center, the SDSU HealthLINK Center aims to promote a transdisciplinary approach to health research.
