Major Duties
Under general supervision, the Assistant to the Dean provides administrative support to the Dean, coordinates faculty recruitment, and ensures compliance with university policies. The incumbent provides administrative support to the College personnel and various committees.
- Performs analysis and complex coordination of the Retention, Tenure & Promotion process; new tenure track faculty recruitment; and administrative support of all faculty committees in the college.
- Works with the nine college departments to ensure meeting administrative deadlines at the department level.
- Coordinates projects and events within Dean’s Office.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in a job-related field.
- Equivalent to two (2) years of full-time, technical, analytical, or administrative experience.
- Additional experience in job-related field may be substituted for required education, on a year for year basis.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Ability to effectively coordinate complex administrative processes, including managing multiple calendars, organizing accreditation activities, scheduling travel, and arranging hospitality logistics for various internal and external events. Demonstrated proficiency in prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and ensuring compliance with established university procedures.
- Skill in developing and managing internal and external communications, including drafting, editing, and distributing print and electronic newsletters, social media content, broadcast emails, and multimedia materials. Knowledge of best practices in content management, proofreading, and dissemination of timely and professional communications.
- Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage and maintain confidential records, including committee memberships, faculty personnel files, and chronological files. Knowledge of confidentiality protocols and university policies related to records management, retention, and faculty personnel matters.
- Proven ability to coordinate and support complex faculty administrative processes, including preparation and distribution of meeting agendas and minutes, facilitating retention, tenure, and promotion reviews, and conducting faculty elections. Skilled in interpreting and applying institutional policies and procedural documents, such as the Administrative Manual and Faculty Manual, ensuring compliance and transparency throughout these processes.
Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule
- The university offers an excellent benefits package, including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, retirement & savings, tuition waiver and more.
- Classification: Admin Analyst/Spclst / 1038 / grade 1
- The anticipated HIRING RANGE: $3879 - $6400 per month, dependent upon qualifications and experience. The salary range for this classification is: $3879 - $7488 per month.
- HOURS: Full Time; 40 hours per week; Monday through Friday.
- This is a Regular position with a one-year probationary period.
- The position is currently hybrid (4 days in office, 1 day remote); however, this is subject to change based on student and/or operational needs.
