Salary Range: $3,680 - $5,783/Monthly (Budgeted Hiring Salary Range: $3,680 - $3,800)

Work Schedule: Full-Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; non-exempt classification.

Essential Functions: Under the general direction of the Director of Program and Workforce Development, the Program Coordinator performs a variety of support services and day-to-day administrator duties for the Program Office. This position supports the Director of Programs and Workforce Development and the development and implementation work done by the Program Developers. The Program Coordinator is the front-line staff member for the Programs Office, who is responsible for managing phone calls and e-mails from prospective students, applicants, currents students and instructors. The position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day administrative tasks of the Program Office which includes, but not limited to, ordering supplies and instructional materials, preparing and sending out student surveys, scheduling advisement appointments and program meetings, building class schedules in Higher Reach, and receiving and submitting hiring documents or new faculty. Other responsibilities include: coordinate and answer Professional and Global Education (PaGE) program-relates phone calls and e­mails; coordinate class schedules, hiring spreadsheets, paperwork for instructors and independent contractors' instructional materials, appointments, meetings, and event travel forms and reimbursements, office files, and supply orders for the Program Office; prepare correspondence as directly by the Director of Programs and Workforce Development and Program Developers; attend meetings and events, which may be in the evenings or on the weekends, as needed to support the Program Office; and other relevant duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications & Experience: Equivalent to three years of general office experience, which includes providing ongoing work coordination and/or providing lead work direction with notable accountability for the work results of support staff or unit administrative functions; good customer service skills, including verbal and written communication skills; ability to work well in a team oriented environment; ability to prioritize and work in a busy office environment, independently handling multiple activities at the same time, attention to detail and accuracy; must have strong skill composing letters, memos, and office correspondence; ability to learn interpret, and apply a variety of complex policies and procedures; ability to effectively handle a broad range of interpersonal contacts, including those at a higher level and those sensitive in nature. Must have computer skills, proficiency in Google work space and MS Office tools, word, excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, etc. The incumbent must have a demonstrated interest and/or ability in working in a multicultural/multiethnic environment. A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who may apply for the position.
