    • Position Summary
    • Multiple temporary hourly-intermittent Student Assistant positions in the Campus Recreation Student Fitness Center.


    • Start Date
    • Position available on or after April 2, 2024 and ending on or before June 30, 2024. Possibility of reappointment based on budget, department needs, and job performance.


    • Job Description/Duties
    • Duties include but are not limited to:
      • Assist and maintain cleanliness of equipment and facility.
      • Assist with equipment preventative maintenance.
      • Assist with maintaining equipment and report any safety or maintenance need in shift reports.
      • Assist in moving and storing equipment as needed for surplus preparation.
      • Assist in enforcing policies and procedures regarding safe and proper use of the equipment and facility.
      • Develop professional relationships with co-workers, participants and guests.
      • Assist in monitoring safety of all patrons.
      • First responder to emergency situations and provide first aid and/or CPR until professional help arrives.
      • Provide quality customer service for all patrons.
      • Communicate with the Fitness Center Attendants.

      Other duties as assigned.


    • Qualifications
    • Preferred Qualifications:
      • Demonstrates previous experience in a gym/facility maintenance setting.

      Required Qualifications:
      • Undergraduate students must be registered/enrolled in a minimum of six (6) Spring units.
      • Post-baccalaureate students in a graduate program must be registered in a minimum of four (4) Spring units.
      • Certified in CPR, First Aid, and AED.
    • Salary Range
    • $16.00 per hour
