Assistant Professor of Hydrology Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences in Chico
The Earth and Environmental Sciences Department in the College of Natural Sciences at California State University, Chico is seeking an Assistant Tenure-Track Professor in Hydrology beginning August 2025. Candidates should be enthusiastic about working hands-on with a diverse group of undergraduate and graduate students in Hydrology. The applicant should have experience in practical applications of their scientific discipline. Preference will be given to candidates with experience with assessment techniques, instructional technology in the teaching-learning process, and roles of faculty in attracting and supporting student success. This tenure-track position carries responsibilities in the areas of teaching (lower and upper division undergraduate courses in the major, general education courses, graduate courses), scholarship (dissemination, grants, mentoring, etc.), and service (student advising, committee participation, community outreach, etc.). Teaching assignments are based upon the interests and qualifications of the individual and the needs of the department.
