Job/Department Summary:

Day-to-day work is performed independently under general direction of the Business and Finance Division's Director of Special Projects and work is led by the Vice President of Business & Finance Executive Assistant. Incumbent will perform a full range of moderate to complex administrative assignments in support of the Vice President and Associate/Assistant Vice President(s), Directors, managers, staff and student employees within the Division of Business and Finance. Responsibilities include researching and drafting reports, correspondence, division documents, collecting and analyzing data, participating on committees, serving as an HR Liaison and Safety and Training coordinator for some of the division areas.  This is a busy office setting requiring the ability to be flexible, often working on multiple projects. Additionally, the incumbent may coordinate between other departments and Human Resources Services, assisting with personnel functions including, but not limited to, recruiting, on-boarding, separations, and training. Incumbent is responsible for the full scope of assigned project activities including independent initiation, execution, coordination, implementation, and evaluation, and may at times be accountable for the work of other support staff.

The Business and Finance Division is large and complex consisting of an executive management team of the Vice President and four Associate/Assistant Vice President(s) including Financial Services, Procurement and Distribution Services, Facilities Management and Services and Staff Human Resources Services, and Directors.

Required Education and Experience:

This position requires a fully functional knowledge of and skill in standard office procedures and practices, as well as an ability to understand and operate in a variety of organizational structures. These qualifications, and those listed above, would normally be obtained through completion of a high school program, technical/vocational program, or their equivalents combined with four years of related office work experience.

Time Base: Full-time

Pay Plan: 12/12

Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am-5:00pm, Summer: Mon-Thurs 7:00am-5:30pm 

CSU Classification Salary Range:  $52,404 (Step 1) - $76,344 (Step 20) per year.
