Job Summary

Under the general direction of the Director, Financial Management Information Systems, the Software Developer provides user support through the design, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of Parking and Operation systems and any support software or hardware for those systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide timely operating systems analysis, technical support and problem resolution to end users of systems and hardware supported by FMIS, including the campus parking systems and hardware. Serve as a resource for the administration, operation and maintenance of the supported systems and hardware: Works with cashiers on monthly reconciliation of changes in employee permits (adds, deletes, modifications) to identify and report changes to the SCO and reconciliation of funds received from the SCO.
  • Provides programming support through analysis, development and implementation of applications for Operations: Troubleshoot and make necessary changes to online forms using web development tools, scripting languages and other related programming methods.

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

Proficiency in Microsoft technologies, including Microsoft Power Platform tools such as Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate. Strong experience with SQL, SQR, and Crystal Reports. Ability to debug across client, middle-tier, and server environments is highly desirable. Ability to work with peers and to share knowledge is required.  Excellent analytical and communication skills. Ability to take initiative and prioritize work effectively. Proven ability to diagnose hardware and software problems related to PCs and peripherals. Solid understanding of network systems and protocols, including experience with network connectivity troubleshooting. Excellent customer service skills are required. The ability to communicate clearly and effectively and follow up with customers is essential

Education and Experience

• Equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Business, or related technical field experience required.

Physical Summary

Medium work - Job involves lifting heavy-weight objects (20-40 pounds) and/or 20% - 40% of the job involves standing, squatting, kneeling, or walking. May require pushing or pulling objects within the weight limits.

Compensation

Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.

Hiring Range: The hiring range for this position is $4,094 - $6,125 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.

CSU Classification Salary Range: The CSU Classification Salary Range for this position is $4,094 - $7,881 per month.

Time Base

1.0  time-base, 40 hours per week.
