| The Program of Social Sciences seeks applicants for its part-time lecturer pool. We are seeking experienced, well-organized, and student-centered individuals to teach in the subject area of social sciences. Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree in a field relevant to the curriculum of the social sciences. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior teaching experience at the college or university level and who can furnish evidence of strong teaching. A Ph.D. is desirable, but not required. Candidates should demonstrate their ability to interact and work effectively with a wide and culturally diverse range of students, including first-generation college students. Preference will be given to those with experience in working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment.
This is a pool of part-time lecturers for the program to draw on as necessary and all appointments are temporary. Staffing decisions are made on a rolling basis typically beginning a few months prior to the start of an academic term right up to the beginning of the academic term. We recommend submitting your application at least 4 months before the beginning of an academic term to be considered for available positions. |

This position performs advanced administrative, analytical, and compliance functions in support of University Police Department operations.
The incumbent independently manages complex and sensitive administrative programs including Livescan services, employment eligibility (I-9) certification for student employees, sworn and civilian recruitment coordination, police records and evidence administrative oversight, and IACLEA accreditation compliance support. The role requires interpretation and application of federal, state, CSU, and law enforcement regulatory requirements.
The Administrative Operations Specialist exercises independent judgment, discretion, and analytical skills to ensure regulatory compliance, operational effectiveness, audit readiness, and continuous process improvement within a law enforcement environment. The position regularly handles highly confidential criminal justice information, background investigation materials, and accreditation documentation.
This position may also provide executive-level administrative and project support to the AVP for Campus Safety & Chief of Police as assigned. |
