The Department of Athletics at California State University, Fullerton, invites applications for the Men’s Assistant Soccer Coach position with an appointment to begin Spring 2025.

Position
The Men’s Soccer program at California State University, Fullerton is a highly competitive, minority serving institution that competes in the NCAA Division I Big West Conference. The Assistant Soccer Coach reports directly to the Head Soccer Coach and they assist with coaching in this program in addition to the following duties:
- Assist with coaching a highly competitive men’s soccer program which competes in the NCAA Division I Big West Conference
- Assist with recruitment of Division I quality student-athletes.
- Assist with monitoring the academic progress of student-athletes.
- Assist with general administrative duties.
- Work in conjunction with the head coach regarding travel coordination, scheduling, and practice planning. Must be committed to the academic goals of the University and follow the rules and guidelines set forth by the NCAA and the Big West Conference.
- Take an active role in marketing men’s soccer on campus and within the community through public appearances and promotional efforts.
- Other additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree desired.
- Previous coaching at the Division 1 level preferred.
- Committed to the retention and academic success of the student-athletes.
- Ability to work, communicate and develop rapport with students, alumni, administration and community groups.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA Division I rules and regulations.
Preferred Qualifications
- NCAA Division I Soccer coaching experience and knowledge of various scouting and video editing software systems.

The College and Department
This position is housed in the Athletics Department under the Division of Student Affairs. The classification for this position is Coaching Assistant and is in the faculty bargaining unit. This is a 10-month, full time position. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Compensation
The Men’s Assistant Soccer Coach classification salary range is $5,507.00 to $6,677.00 monthly (12 monthly payments per academic year). The anticipated hiring range is $5,507.00 - $6,000.00 per month.
Salary offered is commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, the California Equal Pay Act prohibits employers from paying its employees less than those of the opposite sex and/or another race or ethnicity for substantially similar work (https://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/california_equal_pay_act.htm).
