| Under the general direction of the Vice President for Information Technology (VP/CIO), this position serves as Executive Assistant and trusted advisor to the VP/CIO, managing highly complex, confidential, and sensitive matters. The incumbent provides comprehensive executive-level administrative, operational, logistical, and communications support for the Office of the VP/CIO, working closely with Information Technology leadership, senior campus administrators, the Office of the President, and the CSU Chancellor’s Office.
The role also provides specialized coordination for technology-enabled initiatives, technical vendors supporting divisional and executive events, and CSU systemwide CIO governance activities. Responsibilities include coordinating complex schedules, communications, and logistics involving campus IT leadership, CSU CIO councils, and external partners in support of Office of the CIO projects and events.
As a primary point of contact for the VP/CIO, the incumbent exercises significant independent judgment to resolve scheduling conflicts, prioritize competing demands, and ensure executive readiness for meetings, briefings, and systemwide engagements. The position requires interpreting and applying complex policies and procedures, preparing executive-level materials and reports, and proactively addressing issues in support of Information Technology leadership and institutional priorities.
