Working independently under the general direction of the Director of New Student Orientation and Transition Programs (NSOT), this position performs moderately complex professional work in support of New Student Orientation and Transition Programs. The incumbent assists with the design, planning, coordination, and implementation of orientation and transition initiatives. Responsibilities include scheduling facilities; recruiting, training, and supervising student staff; supporting the development and delivery of presentations; and coordinating communications with student participants and guests. The position facilitates workshops and training for student peer leaders and delivers presentations to students and parents/guests during orientation programs. It also assists in training student staff to support academic advising as part of the orientation experience and collaborates with campus partners, including academic departments, faculty advisors, student service offices, and enrollment management units. The incumbent is expected to develop a strong working knowledge of university programs, policies, processes, and services and to work independently with minimal day-to-day supervision.
