Basic Needs Program Coordinator (Student Services Professional III) - Food+Shelter+Success San Francisco
Under the general supervision of the Director for the Basic Needs Office the Basic Needs Program Coordinator (BNPC) supports the development and implementation of SF State’s student basic needs programming aimed at addressing student food and housing insecurity. The BNPC is responsible for the planning, coordination, daily operations, and evaluation of these diverse student programs in collaboration with on- and off-campus partners. The BNPC will oversee the FSS request for services intake form and help navigate student referrals to the rest of the FSS team. This also includes working with the financial aid office to allocate homeless prevention funds and basic needs emergency funds to students needing this resource. The BNPC works collaboratively to further develop sustainable student programs that promotes dignity, minimizes marginalization, advances student success, and focuses on closing the educational equity gap for an ethnically and culturally diverse student population. The incumbent is responsible for marketing and outreach to increase visibility of student challenges and resources in a manner that promotes health equity, social justice, cultural humility, and diversity concepts. The BNPC also supervises student assistants, and/or advises student volunteers.
