These programs are fully accredited by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). Reporting to the Dean, the Associate Dean works collaboratively to advance the College’s strategic vision and lead the implementation of ongoing and new initiatives. The Associate Dean performs a broad range of administrative functions for the GSE, including oversight of faculty and staff and supervision of fiscal operations. This role includes assisting department chairs with financial and strategic planning, annual enrollments, recruitment, and faculty workload. The Associate Dean represents the GSE in formal grievance matters and serves as Chair of Accreditation, overseeing California Commission on Teacher Credentialing and WSCUC accreditation processes. In collaboration with the Dean, the Associate Dean oversees tenure-track faculty searches; serves as the immediate supervisor of GSE office staff; and acts as an ombuds for faculty and staff concerns.
