The College of Business Administration at California State University San Marcos invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the Operations, Supply Chain and Business Analytics Department at the rank of Assistant Professor of Operations, Supply Chain and Business Analytics, starting Fall 2026. The minimum education requirement for this position is a Ph.D. in Management Science, Operations Management, Operations Research, or a closely related discipline. (ABD status considered, however, terminal degree is required at the time of hire)

Successful candidates will have demonstrated teaching excellence, a publication record appropriate to their experience level, and the potential to establish a research program that produces original, peer-reviewed work.
Desired/preferred qualifications:

Ideal candidates will have expertise in courses such as Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Purchasing and Procurement, and Supply Chain Analytics, as well as proficiency in applied learning and current technologies relevant to these fields.

Additionally, applicants who can demonstrate intercultural competence with diverse groups in teaching, research, and service are strongly preferred.
The successful candidate will be well-qualified to teach both undergraduate and graduate level courses in Operations and Supply Chain Management and Business Analytics areas, contribute to the development and enhancement of the Global Supply Chain Management Option of the Business Administration and the Master of Science in Supply Chain Analytics (MSSCA) curriculums, and develop new courses as needed, such as Foundations of Supply Chain Analytics, Artificial Intelligence in Operations Management, Big Data in Supply Chain, and Sustainable Operations and Supply Chain Management. The candidate should also be able to teach analytical programming skills and technologies relevant to operations and supply chain, including spreadsheet automation, R, Python, and other related technologies. In research, the candidate is expected to sustain quality scholarship by publishing in peer-reviewed journals. In service, the candidate will actively engage in identifying and pursuing opportunities to support the department, college, university, and professional community.
Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $12,000 - $12,594 per month
CSU Classification Salary Range: $6,221- $13,224 per month
