This classification provides six to twelve months of training, depending on prior experience, to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to perform Credential Analyst I duties. Training includes learning state credentialing standards, evaluating academic qualifications, processing applications, determining credit toward credentials and permits, and interpreting the California Education Code and related regulations. Permanent status cannot be achieved in this classification. Upon successful completion of training, the Trainee will be reclassified to Credential Analyst I. Credential Analyst I Under the general supervision of the Associate Dean of CME, with work direction from the School of Education Director and/or Credential Analyst II, the Credential Analyst I supports credential and internship programs by reviewing applications and recommending candidates for credential, certificate, and permit issuance.
