About the Position:
The Office of Admissions is responsible for determining student eligibility for admission to the University, processes and evaluates applications and transcripts, determining residency status, and reviewing appeals for exception to University Policy. We are seeking an exceptional individual to join our team as the Director, Admissions Operations and Policy. The ideal candidate in this role should have a positive attitude, an active, energetic mind, and a leadership style that is characterized by highly ethical practices and a commitment to diversity, openness, flexibility, integrity, and kindness.

Under the general direction of the Associate Vice-President of Student Transitions, this position leads all functions related to the University's processing of over 75,000 admissions applications annually. This includes the hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating of 35 staff across 3 distinct operating units within the Admissions Office including the Application Center, Admissions Imaging and Document Processing, and Admissions Evaluations; the development and implementation of impaction admissions policies and procedures to support the campus Enrollment Management Plan in accordance with applicable federal, state and system wide regulations. In addition to the management of people, the Director, Admissions Operations and Policy, designs, develops, and executes (or oversees the execution of), of critical system processes and procedures in order to increase efficiency, productivity, and accuracy of admission processing. Oversees and manages the imaging and document processing, graduate admissions, undergraduate admissions, graduate/undergraduate international admissions, teacher credentials, special programs and Systems staff (Peoplesoft for Admissions and Campus Community Modules).

The Director, Admission Operations and Policy serves as a liaison to and performs a leadership role within Chancellor’s Office designated committees and projects. In particular, the Director represents Cal State Fullerton and the other 22 CSU campuses on committees related to CSUMentor, eTranscriptCA, California College Guidance Initiative, SAUG and Early Start. The incumbent serves on the Early Start Program Chancellor’s Office Implementation committee and Early Start CMS Baseline Technical Committee. As a result, she has been named Coordinator of the Early Start Program for the Fullerton Campus. Other duties as assigned.

Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university required. High level work experience that includes each of the following: Undergraduate admissions, graduate admissions and international admissions.

A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment, which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information, and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
Preferred Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
License/ Certification Valid California Driver's License. Position requires the use of a state vehicle to transport to events and visit schools and other outside constituents at variable hours.
