Under the general direction of the Director of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI), the incumbent will provide critical administrative services and marketing coordination to help OLLI meet it strategic goals. Typical activities include, but are not limited to:
Incumbent will work with staff and volunteers to plan, execute, and evaluate OLLI courses, activities and events. In partnership with director and volunteers, determine priorities, develop plans and schedules, and successfully implement programs that meet OLLI strategic goals.
Incumbent will assist with registration system data entry for OLLI courses and activities. Monitor and process online and paper registrations (including payments) for memberships, course registrations, and event attendance.
Incumbent will monitor enrollment reports, rosters, and membership data to identify patterns or potential areas of concern.
Incumbent will monitor member payments and process credits and refunds.
Incumbent will provide administrative support for the OLLI department, such as answering phones, greeting customers, and responding to department emails.
Incumbent will recommend and implement strategies to enhance the marketing and promotion of OLLI programs. Assist the director and volunteers with program outreach, catalog distribution, digital marketing, and other promotional opportunities. Create marketing materials to promote OLLI programs and activities.
Incumbent will serve as the content editor and regularly maintain OLLI department website and social media sites per established guidelines.
Incumbent will help develop and coordinate OLLI social media presence. Evaluate social media platforms and recommend appropriate membership engagement and marketing strategies.

Candidates must possess the following:
The equivalent to High School Diploma/ G.E five years of experience in program management or coordination.
Demonstrated commitment to providing exceptional level of customer service.
Ability to effectively handle a broad range of interpersonal contacts, including those at a higher level and those of sensitive nature, along with the ability to work cooperatively with a diverse group of people.
Thorough knowledge of office methods, procedures and practices.
Thorough knowledge of correct English, grammar, spelling and punctuation.
Knowledge of applicable university infrastructure, policies and procedures.
Working knowledge of office systems and ability to use a broader range of technology, systems, and software packages such as Microsoft Office.
Ability to independently handle multiple work unit priorities and projects, along with the ability to apply independently a wide variety of policies and procedures where specific guidelines may not exist.
Ability to draft and compose correspondence and standard reports.
Ability to perform standard business math such as calculate ratios and percentages, track financial data and make simple projections.
Preferred / Desired Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
A working knowledge of budget policies and procedures is desired.
Minimum of two years of experience (or equivalent education) in marketing activities that include promotions, email communications, and website content development.
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily before any candidate can be offered a position with the CSU. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the application status of applicants or continued employment of current CSU employees who apply for the position.
