Audits & Compliance Manager East Bay
Under general direction of the AVP of Risk Management and Internal Control (RMIC), the Manager of Audits & Compliance will coordinate and support all Chancellor’s Office and external agency audit activities, and is responsible for facilitating regular audits or advisory services of campus operations performed by the Chancellor’s Office of Audit & Advisory Services (AAS), and ensuring that the campus responds to audit observations and recommendation; plan, execute, and administer the internal audit function at Cal State East Bay. This includes conducting reviews of higher-risk organization and functional activities, and recommending appropriate corrective action or changes in current policies, procedures, or processes of the University and its auxiliary organizations. This position will assess whether organizational units in the University are in compliance with CSU policies, applicable federal and state laws and regulations, and statements of policies and procedures, in a manner consistent with both University objectives and high standards of administrative practice and consult and advise management and staff, including serving on campus steering committees as needed for audit and compliance related matters.
Lead Groundsworker ON CAMPUS ONLY Chico
The Lead Groundsworker works under general supervision of the Manager of Custodial and Landscape. The incumbent will oversee the work of 1 Groundsworker, and 5-10 student employees engaged in general gardening and grounds maintenance work around the campus residence halls. Additional work may include projects such as planting shrub areas, laying sprinkler systems, or laying concrete or asphalt. Working independently and/or as part of a team, incumbent is responsible for landscape care and support, in assigned work area and other work areas as needed; planning, training, coordinating work of others; monitoring supplies budget; purchasing routine supplies and equipment; providing input into purchasing priorities; tracking and reporting attendance and payroll for student employees and completing required paperwork.

Building Service Engineer Chico
Working independently, under general supervision, Building Service Engineers perform maintenance and repair work on a wide range of heating, ventilating, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical, refrigeration, air conditioning, water systems and auxiliary equipment. Incumbent will operate, test, adjust, and calibrate, boiler, air conditioning machinery, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and/or microprocessor control instruments. Building Service Engineers monitor building systems data, adjust systems accordingly and respond to service requests to adjust airflow, temperature and humidity balances for individual rooms, building areas or buildings. The duties include testing and chemically treating boiler, condenser, and cooling tower water and water from other systems, as well as maintenance, inspection, diagnoses and emergency repairs for systems. Building Service Engineers may need to solder, braze or weld pipe in underground vaults or in mechanical rooms. Incumbent will regularly use features of building automation systems to diagnose and troubleshoot problems in the HVAC systems and adjust to optimize energy conservation, and may maintain logs of maintenance and repairs, using manual and computerized record-keeping systems, and provide instruction and/or work with semi-skilled or unskilled assistants. Duties also include swimming pool maintenance, and work on bearings, shafts, seals, rings and electrical wiring and installation of central system parts, gages, valves and pipes. This position requires the application of journey-level skills in one or more of the applicable trades. Incumbents are expected to rotate through various shift assignments at the central plant to fill in for Operating Engineers on a relief basis as needed.

Provides strategic direction and leadership in a centralized Career Center to provide students with a range of career counseling including career exploration, career research, and career planning. Provides oversight of career counseling, career related communications and marketing, internships, and assessment of student career outcomes, effectiveness, research, and program evaluation. Coordinates University internship strategy, execution of internship initiatives, and outcomes-based assessment.
Residence Life Coordinator (Student Services Professional II) Chico
The Residence Life Coordinator (RLC) staff are responsible for broad residential community oversight, educational programming, and facilities management. Day-to-day work is performed independently, however incumbent also serves as a member of the Residence Life team comprised of the Associate Director for Residence Life, five Residence Conduct Coordinator (RCC) staff, five RLC staff, the Senior Coordinator for Leadership and Development, the Senior Coordinator for Conduct and Compliance and the Hub Program Coordinator. CSU, Chico has an on campus student housing population of approximately 2,200 students. RLCs provide educational programs, customer service, counseling referrals, and crisis response. Incumbents deal with complex, sensitive situations, incumbent must use sound professional judgment and successful counseling techniques to effectively interact with college-age students. The RLC position co-supervises 6-18 Resident Advisors assigned to a given community. They also directly supervise the students employed at service desks. Additionally, the RLC position has overall advisory and leadership responsibility for Community Council.
