Position:Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry

Starting Date:Fall, 2016

Minimum Qualifications:Ph.D. in Chemistry from an accredited institution of higher education. Post-doctoral research experience. Potential for excellence in teaching at a college level. Record of scholarly activity, involving students whenever possible. Applicants should have the ability to relate well to others within the academic environment, and demonstrate ability and/or interest in working in a multiethnic, multicultural environment.

As a University dedicated to engagement, service and the public good, the successful candidate will be expected to join faculty, staff, students and administrators in a commitment to these purposes.

Preferred Qualifications:Research plans in the area of inorganic materials preferred.

Duties:In addition to teaching, duties include student advisement, engaging in scholarly activity, and committee service for the Department, the College of Natural and Social Sciences, and the University.

Salary:Initial salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
