Salary Range: $2505 - $3758/Monthly

Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Thursday 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. & Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; non-exempt classification.

Essential Job Functions: Under the direct supervision of the Administrative Support Coordinator II, the incumbent will be the frontline contact with student, faculty and a variety of campus community individuals requiring appropriate information or referral. The incumbent is responsible for a broad range of tasks involving book orders, grade change, distribution of faculty/staff payroll, student opinion surveys, fieldwork coordination, comprehensive exams for credential, certificate, masters, and doctoral degree programs within the Division. Duties include but are not limited to: assisting with correspondence, meeting minutes, processing application, permits, material preparation, and providing student with division, college and university information, policies and procedures; preparing and processing of quarterly book orders and course packets with faculty and university bookstore; preparing of key request cards and maintaining key log binder; monitoring the processing of admission applications and program plans; and other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience: Equivalent to three years of general office experience, including the ability to provide work direction or act as a lead to lower level staff and to perform some duties of a limited administrative nature. Candidates must be enthusiastic in providing quality student services, supervising staff/student assistants, and working with faculty and division chair to ensure services necessary to support academic programs; possess excellent verbal/written communication, customer service, organization skills along with strong interpersonal skills; and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and related software. Incumbent must be able to: communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff, administrators, community partners and representatives from other outside agencies; learn and understand complex university regulations/policies and relay that information clearly to students; meet deadlines, multi-task, and work well under pressure; collaborate with students, faculty, and administrators to resolve problems and generate future solutions; and demonstrate interest in and/or ability to effectively interact with a diverse population. Fingerprints will be taken and checked by the California Department of Justice and the FBI.

Special Desired Qualifications: Knowledge and effective use of PeopleSoft/GET.
