The History Department at California State University, Chico, invites applications for a temporary faculty pool in ancient history, beginning in fall 2013. Teaching duties include the first third of a world history survey, History 101: Ancient Civilizations, and two upper-division courses in ancient Greece and ancient Rome. Minimum qualifications: PhD or ABD in ancient history/classics with specialty in the history of ancient Greece and/or ancient Rome as well as some teaching experience.
