Campus Overview
Nestled in the foothills of San Luis Obispo on 6,000 acres, just minutes from

Allan J. Hauck
California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo
Professor and department head, Construction Management
Allan Hauck is currently a professor and the department head of the Construction
Management Department in the College of Architecture and Environmental Design at
California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Hauck also serves as a
consultant providing expert witness, training, business evaluations and strategic
planning services. He has been a Certified Professional Constructor since 1997 and is a
member of the board of directors of the American Institute of Constructors. In
addition, Hauck has been published in and reviewed for numerous academic and
professional journals.
Prior to Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, Hauck taught courses in construction management
programs at Colorado State University and the University of Maryland. He has nine years
of industry experience in residential and commercial building construction ranging from
field supervision through senior project management. He earned a master's degree from
Bowling Green State University and a Ph.D. from the University of Maryland.
